The Mahavikas Aghadi government had increased the number of wards to 236 for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections. Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis government has changed it and re-divided 227 wards, new reservation lottery will have to be drawn. Also, new voter lists have to be done ward wise. As a result, it is predicted that the election of Mumbai Municipal Corporation may be delayed.

A month has passed since the transfer of power in Maharashtra. However, the cabinet expansion of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's government is still not done.
