The results of the Gram Panchayat elections held after the transfer of power in the state have started coming in. The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's faction has shocked three MLAs in the Khed Gram Panchayat of Satara district. Koregaon MLA Mahesh Shinde's group won 12 seats while BJP's A. Shivendraraje Bhosale, NCP's A. The group of Makarand Patil and Shashikant Shinde had to be content with five seats. In Khed Gram Panchayat, the largest in Satara and near Satara city, the NCP has suffered a huge blow. The Shinde group has hoisted the flag on this village panchayat under the leadership of Shiv Sena's rebel MLA Mahesh Shinde.
